Navajo Jewelry

Navajo jewelry often features turquoise, and has for many years. The tribe was the first to use turquoise and sterling silver together, leading the way in Native American jewelry design. Today, Navajo jewelry is revered and highly valued by collectors who seek out authentic examples of Navajo jewelry, such as squash blossom necklaces, turquoise bracelets and turquoise rings.

Emerald Valley Turquoise Inlay Squash Blossom Necklace – Pick of the Day!

Beautiful Squash Blossom Necklace

Our picture of the day is this beautifully handmade Navajo squash blossom necklace made with genuine sterling silver and real Emerald Valley Turquoise. The inlay itself is carefully set in multiple settings, with think silver lines accenting in-between. It is made with one Naja (the crescent shaped center pendant piece) and a double strand of eight-mm silver round beads nicely placed in regular intervals among the round side of the beautiful center piece. The Naja itself is set with three magnificent inlay settings, and each side of the necklace itself has five settings which are attached to silver petals called squash blossoms. Each of these inlay settings are highlighted by silver beads and carefully hand cut designs. This traditional styled squash blossom necklace is not stiff and flexible.
