THE STORY BEHIND THE JEWELRY
Sterling silver, Turquoise, Tiger Eye, Picture Rock, and Black inlay (matrix in inlay may vary slightly).
Post earrings measure approximately 1-3/8" long and 5/8" at widest point.
What a lovely pair of earrings! This piece of jewelry is hand made out of genuine sterling silver along with Multicolor stones and inlay. Real Turquoise, Tiger Eye, Picture Rock, and Black Inlay are carefully set, while thin silver lines can be seen accenting for a stunning look. TWO real Turquoise stones (one in each earirng) are gently set in silver bezel settings while creating the post of the earrings. The earrings are stamped sterling.
Tiger Eye stone contains a golden yellow reflection on a brown ground color. The most important source of tiger eye is South Africa, but it is also found in Australia, India, and California. It is believed to give courage, clear thinking, and protects from negativity.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
