THE STORY BEHIND THE JEWELRY
Sterling silver and Turquoise.
Ring is size 6-1/4, it measures approximately 7/8" long and 3/8" wide.
This lovely ring will definitely attract plenty of attention! This piece of Native American jewelry is Zuni hand crafted, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Turquoise inlay. The inlay is delicately set, while thin silver lines can be seen highlighting in between. Twisted silver surrounds the inlay for a beautiful finish. The ring is stamped sterling.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
