THE STORY BEHIND THE JEWELRY

MATERIALS:

Sterling silver and man made Blue Opal.

MEASUREMENTS:

Ring is size 7-1/4, it measures approximately 3/8" long and 3/4" wide.

DESCRIPTION:

Looking at such beauty tells the capabilities of Native American art! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Letricia Largo, out of genuine sterling silver and a man made Blue Opal. The stone is delicately set in a hand cut bezel setting, while twisted silver, mini silver beads, and hand crafted silver work highlight the ring for a delightful finish.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
