DESCRIPTION:

Expect plenty of compliments while wearing this stunning belt buckle! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Wilbert Muskett Sr., out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise stones. A total of TWO stones are carefully placed in a shadow box bezel setting, while hand cut silver work creates a fantastic bear paw design. Silver beads, twisted silver, and imprinted patterns highlight the buckle for an excellent finish. In Native American beliefs, the bear paw is usually considered a way to call for the power of the animal spirit, or as an indication of the presence of the spirit. It is a symbol that represents inner strength. The belt buckle is stamped sterling and hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
