THE STORY BEHIND THE JEWELRY
Sterling silver and Turquoise.
Pendant measures approximately 1-3/4" long (including bail) and 1-1/4" at widest point.
This gorgeous pendant is absolutely distinctive in each and every way! This pendant is a wonderful piece of jewelry that is crafted out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise inlay. The pendant is reversible, it can be worn on either side, one side being Turquoise inlay and the other side being sterling silver (it's like having two pendants in one). The inlay is delicately set in a lovely Gecko design, while thin silver lines can be seen highlighting for an elegant look. The back of the pendant is highlighted with imprinted water wave and ectched designs for a stylish finish. In some beliefs, water waves design represent continuous life. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
