This is truly an outstanding pendant that will make a great impression! This piece of Native American jewelry was Navajo hand crafted by artist Samuel Yellowhair, out of genuine sterling silver and a man made Opal. The stone is gently placed in a hand cut bezel setting, while mini silver beads, twisted silver, and imprinted patterns can be seen highlighting the pendant for a marvelous finish. The pendant is stamped .925 (sterling) and is hallmarked.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
