DESCRIPTION:

This is a wonderful piece of Navajo artistry! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Betty Begaye, out of genuine sterling silver and a real Howlite stone. The stone is carefully set in a hand cut bezel setting, while being surrounded by beautiful twisted silver for a terrific finish. The ring is stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked by the artist.

Howlite is named after its discoverer Henry How. Howlite is known for its great final polish and rich luster. Howlite is often mistaken for "white buffalo" or "white turquoise" due to the similarity of appearance. Howlite is a combination of pure white with black veins; highlighting the beauty and balance of opposites. Howlite has high calcium content for strong healthy bones and teeth. It would make a wonderful gift for a pregnant or nursing mother.
