Sterling Silver, real Turquoise, Coral, and Fresh Water Pearl.
Hook dangle earrings measure approximately 3-3/4" long (including hook) and 3/4" wide.
This lovely pair of earrings is a work of art and has everything you could possibly want from a piece of Southwest jewelry! This pair of earrings is hand strung out of genuine sterling silver and real multicolor beads. The earrings consist of: 2-mm and 5-mm silver round beads, 5-mm Coral branch beads, 8-mm Fresh Water Pearls, and 8-mm Turquoise beads. The earrings are held together by a silver bead and cone for a lovely look. The cones are stamped sterling. A silver feather can be seen dangling at the end of each earring for a magnificent finish. Feathers are symbols of prayers, marks of honor or sources of ideas. They represent the Creative Force.
Corals are known to be very soothing and very protective. Coral is of an organic origin; it is the skeletal remains of marine animals called Coral Polyps. Colonies of these tiny creatures build branching structures as they grow, gradually forming reefs and atolls.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
