This is truly an outstanding pendant that will make a great impression! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Calvin Belin, out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise stones. This pendant has a total of TWO stones that are carefully set in hand cut bezel settings, while hand cut silver work creates a gorgeous Elk, flower, and scalloped leaf design. Twisted silver, a mini silver bead, and beautiful stamped patterns accent the pendant for a beautiful finish. The pendant is stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.
