THE STORY BEHIND THE JEWELRY

MATERIALS:

Sterling silver and real Turquoise.

MEASUREMENTS:

Post earrings measure approximately 7/8" long and 1/2" at widest point.

DESCRIPTION:

This gorgeous pair of earrings are absolutely distinctive in each and every way! This piece of Native American jewelry was Navajo hand crafted by artist Louise Joe, out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise stones. A total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) are delicately placed in hand cut bezel settings, while twisted silver and mini stamped silver beads can be seen highlighting for a dazzling finish. The earrings are stamped .925 (sterling) and are hallmarked.

Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of its appeal and beauty.

My wife enjoyed the design, quality, and color of these beautiful, dangly, turquoise earrings. Like other purchases I've made through Turquoise Jewelry.com, I'm very pleased with my purchase of these as well. Biloxi Bob
