This gorgeous safety pin is absolutely distinctive in each and every way! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo, hand crafted by artist Sally Arviso out of genuine sterling silver and real Malachite stones. A total of TWO stones are gently placed in hand cut bezel settings, while hand crafted silver work creates a marvelous scalloped leaf design for an incredible finish. For extra strength and durability certain parts of the key ring are made out of nickel.
Malachite is famous for its radial banding and deep green color. Popular today for use in Southwestern style jewelry, malachite was also popular in the past with the ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans. It was worn as a good luck charm to keep away danger and illness. It is believed to balance and stabilize ones emotions.
