Sterling silver and man made Opal.
Post dangle earrings measure approximately 1-1/8" long and 3/8" at widest point.
This is a very exquisite pair of earrings that must not be overlooked! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Letricia Largo, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Opal stones. A total of TWO stones (ONE in each earring) are carefully set in hand cut bezel settings, while being accented by lovely hand crafted flower and leaf designs. Mini silver beads can be seen highlighting the earrings for a beautiful finish. The earrings are stamped .925 (sterling) and hallmarked.
Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
