THE STORY BEHIND THE JEWELRY

MATERIALS:

Sterling silver and man made Opal.

MEASUREMENTS:

The inner bracelet circumference measures approximately 5-3/4", plus a 1" opening, and 3/4" at widest point.

DESCRIPTION:

There is nothing at all average about this beautiful bracelet! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Emerson Yazzie, out of genuine Sterling silver and a man made Opal stone. The stone is gently set in hand cut bezel setting, while hand cut silver work can be seen accenting the bracelet for a magnificent finish. The bracelet is stamped sterling.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
