THE STORY BEHIND THE JEWELRY

MATERIALS:

Sterling silver and man made Opal.

MEASUREMENTS:

Hook dangle earrings measure approximately 1-3/8" long and 1/2" wide.

DESCRIPTION:

This lovely pair of earrings will definitely attract plenty of attention! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo hand crafted by artist Verley Betone, out of genuine sterling silver and man made Opals. The earrings have a total of FOUR Opal stones (TWO in each earring) that are carefully placed in hand cut bezel settings, while mini silver beads can be seen highlighting for an amazing finish. The earrings are stamped .925 (sterling) and are hallmarked.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Latin word "Oplus" meaning precious stone. Opal is birthstone of October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
