Hook dangle earrings measure approximately 2-1/8" long (including hook) and 3/8" wide.
You will absolutely fall in love with this stunning pair of earrings! This piece of Native American jewelry is Navajo overlay hand crafted by artist Ralph Bia, out of genuine sterling silver. Overlay is a process that utilizes at least two layers of sterling silver. One layer forms the foundation, while the second is used to design the individual detailed overlay. In this pair of earrings, the second layer forms a fantastic Kokopelli and Rain Cloud design, while imprinted patterns can be seen accenting for a delightful finish. The Kokopelli is a common fertility symbol throughout the Southwest. In Native American beliefs, the Kokopelli visits various communities, seducing and impregnating the young women drawn to the tones of his flute playing. Clouds, Rain and Lightning, in addition to representing themselves, they are also important symbols of change, renewal and fertility. Closely related is snow, which is considered even more of a blessing than rain. The earrings are stamped sterling and hallmarked.
