THE STORY BEHIND THE JEWELRY
Sterling silver and Turquoise.
Pendant measures approximately 3" long (including bail) and 7/8" at widest point.
Take advantage of the great price on this amazing pendant! The pendant is a gorgeous piece of Native American jewelry that is Navajo hand crafted by artist D. Benally out of genuine sterling silver and real Turquoise stones. A total of FOUR stones are delicately set in hand cut bezel, while mini silver beads, hand cut work, twisted silver and a stamped pattern can be seen accenting for a beautiful finish. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked.
Turquoise is the birthstone of December. It is believed that turquoise tends to bring good fortune, strength and helps overcome illness. Turquoise got its name from the Levantine traders called Turks who brought the stone to Europe from Persia via Turkey centuries ago. Native Americans have prized turquoise since the time of the Aztecs, who mined it in New Mexico. The natural variations that occur in turquoise are part of their appeal and beauty.
